Portuguese Wine Importers

September is the month where the weather starts to change and where wine lovers’ thoughts turn from Rose to Red and fuller whites.

I however would like to place a line in the sand and start a campaign to keep roses for all year round!

And why not good roses (which is the only we sell at Portuguese Vinhos) go with most foods either summer or winter however I constantly hear people saying Roses are only for summer and would not think about drinking in the depths of winter, so lets start to change our habits , roses are as good with a salad or a stew.

We are going through the change and to celebrate the change of seasons we are offering 15% off our most popular wines from the Alentejo Rocha Rosa.

The Vineyard is situated 450 meters above sea level giving the climate slightly cooler than the plains, so the vines benefit from cooling breezes at night. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. Ageing 50% of the blend aged for 90 months in a mix used French and American oak barrels. It has a deep, dark intense red with berry and plum fruit aromas. Rich, flavoursome with a velvety palate which has good depth of ripe fruit. Smooth, soft and well balanced with a long finish. Drinks well now but will improve in the bottle over the next 2-3 years. Matches well with grilled chicken, meats, fish and sauce-based pasta.

So, don’t delay get stock up for those cold winter nights www.portuguesevinhos.uk
